TU Dublin Ranked Among the World's Leading Universities for Climate Action in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026
Technological University Dublin has been recognised as one of the world's leading universities for climate action, achieving a global ranking of 63rd for SDG 13: Climate Action in the Time Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026. The result highlights TU Dublin's commitment to addressing the climate crisis through sustainability leadership, campus decarbonisation, research, teaching, and partnerships that support the transition to a low-carbon future.
The recognition reflects the significant progress made through the University's sustainability initiatives, including the implementation of its Climate Action Roadmap and the continued success of the TU Dublin Green Campus Living Lab across its campuses. These initiatives support TU Dublin's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy performance, embed sustainability in education, and engage staff and students in meaningful climate action.
Overall, TU Dublin was placed in the 301-400 band globally in the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, which evaluated 1,646 universities from 116 countries and territories on their contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In addition to its top-performing Climate Action ranking, TU Dublin also demonstrated strong performance across several other SDGs:
