Student-Industry Immersion Day – Accenture, Google, and TU Dublin
On Tuesday 14th March 2023, students from the School of Business Technology, Retail, and Supply Chain joined technology students from across TU Dublin for an Industry Immersion event at Accenture’s ‘The Dock’ office. The event was a collaboration between Accenture, Google and TU Dublin. Students participated in practical exercises to tackle real industry challenges. In the session, the students got hands-on experience using Google’s BigQuery to turn big data into valuable business insights.
During the event, Paula Neary, Senior Managing Director at Accenture, highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in STEM roles and took the students through her own career journey. Associate Director at Accenture, Fiona Nolan, shared valuable insights on how companies are using Google’s BigQuery to drive sustainable commodity sourcing to reduce environmental impact.
