Avalon Capital
Avalon Capital have sponsored €10,000 in fees for the delivery of our Certificate in Entrepreneurship for marginalised youth in the north inner city. It is hoped that this support will become a multiannual funding initiative with deep impact on our local communities. The school of SoME also represents the University on the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan (DREP) and chairs the working group on Inclusivity. The plan identifies six target groups for intervention with employment and self employment support. These groups are: Refugees and asylum seekers, Marginalised youth, Ex – offenders, Travelling community, people with disabilities and long term unemployed. The school has programmes or research underway with most of these communities.
