Secondary School Teacher training and support for Leaving Certificate Computer Science

In this Tech-Ed for Good Video Róisín Faherty, Head of Information Systems in the School of Enterprise Computing and Digital Transformation, TU Dublin provides an overview of her research focused on supporting Leaving Certificate Computer Science teachers.

Many of these teachers lack formal computer science qualifications, and the research indicates that their Programming Self-Efficacy is lower than that of CS1 students in their first month of third level education. To ensure the success of this subject, it's crucial to support teachers in enhancing their programming self-efficacy.
