MSc Sustainable Development students organize COP 30 Debrief with Eamon Ryan and Climate Youth Activists
As a follow up to COP 30 in Belém the students of the MSc Sustainable Development at the TU Dublin School of Architecture, Building and Environment are hosting a COP Debrief.
This will be an opportunity to hear first-hand accounts of how climate negotiations are working or not and to query attendees on the climate COP. As we approach the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Paris Agreement (Dec 12th, 2015) this marks an appropriate time to consider the health and future of climate negotiations.
The panel discussing COP30, the outcomes and the future for the COP process is:
- Eamon Ryan, former Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport
- Nguyen Van Toan, a youth representative at the UN Secretary-General’s Youth Roundtable at COP30, studying at University of Galway
- Chair for the discussion: Amiirah Puttaro Vice President of ANPRAS (African Network for Policy Research and Advocacy for Sustainability) in Mauritius and MSc student at TU Dublin
Time: 1.00 - 2.00 pm on Tuesday 9th December
Venue: Room 236 (The Small Kinema), Bolton St, TU Dublin
Tea and coffee will be available from 12.50
