Dublin School of Architecture is pleased to invite you to the launch of 'Nexford - A climactive proposal for Wexford town' at Creative Hub, Main Street North, Wexford Town
The exhibition will open at 14:30 on Friday 13 May and will run until May 20.
4th year architecture students from the TU Dublin School of Architecture have been working in Wexford town for the past two semesters. Following an in-depth analysis of the historic, social, economic, and cultural life of the town, students proposed a range of projects engaging with ideas of extension and retrofit to existing buildings. In Semester 2 the focus turned to increasing the number of homes in the town to cater for future population growth and changing demographic.
All the proposals anticipate the effects of Climate Crisis and how these can be mitigated to make Wexford sustainable over the coming decades.
