Bio: Dr. Cian White is a postdoctoral researcher in the Botany Department of Trinity College Dublin, working on developing technology to monitor and improve the sustainability of agricultural supply chains. His PhD focused on Nature-based Solutions, urban biodiversity and designing landscapes that work for people and nature. In this lecture, Cian will demystify the buzzword of biodiversity, lay out the case for why architects should care about nature and what architects can do to mitigate the negative impacts of urbanisation on the natural world.
