TU Dublin Environment & Planning celebrate Green Week 2022

TU Dublin Green Week 2022 takes place from 7th - 11th March 2022.  TU Dublin Green Week is an annual celebration of innovation and partnerships, a chance to debate ideas and to showcase a living lab for environmental sustainability across Ireland's first and largest Technological University.

Climate Change, the environment and sustainability are central to everything that takes place at TU Dublin Environment & Planning.  Many of the scheduled events at TU Dublin - City Campus (Bolton Street and Grangegorman) (see below) are led by or involve our staff and students, continuing our involvement in this annual campus-wide event.  A sample of events on each day include: -

Peatland Restoration and Climate Mitigation - a talk by carbon researcher and Lecturer Stephen Barry. 7th March, 4.30 – 5.30pm, Bolton St Rm 413

Introduction to the Circular economy, by the Rediscovery Centre - a workshop by Steve O'Reilly, Rediscovery Centre, on brainstorming the Circular Economy. 8th March, 10:00 - 12:00, Bolton St Rm 413

Biodiversity data: putting the knowledge to good purpose - a talk by Dr Declan Doogue. Dr Doogue is a botanist, author and nature conservation advocate. 9th March, 14:00-15:00, Bolton St Rm 413             

Cloughjordan Ecovillage: Lessons Learned - David Mooney is Senior Planner at The Planning Partnership. 10th March, 12:00-13:00, Bolton St Room 446

Climate, Biodiversity and Environment - a talk by Dr Gerry Clabby.  Dr Clabby is Principal Advisor, Environment and Climate Research and Advisory Unit at Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. 11th March, 11.00 - 12.00, Bolton St Rm 413 

ESHI 4th Annual Green Week Seminar - doctoral students talk about topics as diverse as pollution dynamics in agriculture, bee communities and pedestrian tracking in remote spaces.  Also talks on Zero Waste and the Grangegorman campus project. 11th March, 9:00 - 13:00, GW402, ESHI, Greenway Hub, Grangegorman
