Cygnum Awards 2023
Congratulations to Kate Ballance after receiving the Cygnum Award for best final year structural engineering project on timber technology entitled ‘Investigation of Glue-Laminated Timber Beams using Varying Arrangements of CFRP’.
Kate recently graduated from the BE (Hons) degree in Structural Engineering programme and was joined at the ceremony by her project supervisor Stephen Harper, John Desmond and Heber McMahon from Cygnum and Joseph Little from the School of Architecture, Building and Environment.
Now in its second year, the Cygnum Awards are sponsored by Cygnum Building Offsite who recognise academic excellence in a timber construction-related project or dissertation.
