Dr Kevin Lalor of the School of Social Sciences, Law and Education recently concluded his two-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors of ISPCAN (the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) last December. Under his leadership, ISPCAN continued to strengthen its mission of preventing child abuse and neglect through research, policy, and practice.

This week, ISPCAN launched its 2024 Annual Report, offering a comprehensive overview of the organisation’s achievements over the past year. The report highlights a wide range of activities, including international training events, conferences, and publications in journals such as Child Abuse and Neglect and Child Protection and Practice.

ISPCAN serves as an invaluable resource for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers in the field of child protection. Students are especially encouraged to join, with a reduced annual membership rate, and gain access to international networks, training opportunities, and resources that support their professional development.
