BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare Students Present Work Placement Experiences

On 9 September 2026, Year 3 students from the BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare (TU875) programme returned to the school for their Work Placement Presentation Day.
The event provided an opportunity for the students to share their recent workplace experiences and reflect on the knowledge, skills and professional insights they developed across a range of settings. Their presentations demonstrated how they had applied their academic learning in professional environments and developed greater confidence through their time in the workplace. As part of the day, students were also invited to describe their placement experience in three words, highlighting the variety of experiences across the cohort.
The presentations were chaired by Dr Tao Zhang, TU875 Work Placement Coordinator, together with Dr Thelma Egan and Dr Barry Ryan. The event provided an opportunity to recognise the cohort’s achievements and celebrate their development through work-based learning. Congratulations to Valeria Moldovanu, who was selected by her fellow students as the winner of the Best Work Placement Oral Presentation.
The day also included a special welcome for Dr Renee Malone, who returned as a guest lecturer following her recent retirement. Dr Malone joined the class to hear the presentations from her final work placement group and tutor group. Class Representative Zak Dowling Morris presented Dr Malone with a card containing messages and best wishes from the class.
The programme team would like to thank all placement hosts, managers and supervisors for their continued support in providing valuable professional opportunities for TU875 students, as well as colleagues who support learners and placement partners throughout the placement process.
The programme team congratulates the class on completing their work placements and wishes them every success as they begin their final year of the BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare programme.
