Dr Arturo B. Soro (Autonomous University of Barcelona) Visit to FSEH
We were delighted to welcome Dr Arturo B. Soro, Assistant Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, to the School of Food Science and Environmental Health from 27 April to 1 May 2026 through the Erasmus staff mobility programme. Dr Soro has previously contributed as a demonstrator and HPAL within the School. The visit commenced with a welcome from Dr Julie Dunne who warmly received Dr Soro, followed by a comprehensive programme of engagements organised by Dr Elena Alexa and Dr Azza Silotry Naik, facilitating meetings with TU Dublin and Teagasc researchers, guest lectures on emerging technologies and novel foods delivered to students from the Nutraceuticals in Health & Nutrition programme, and a research exchange session with postgraduate students and academic staff. The visit supported future collaboration in teaching, research, and Erasmus mobility initiatives. In addition, Dr Jesus Frias provided a tour of the Sustainable Health Research Hub facilities to strengthen research collaboration.
