Pharmacy Technician Studies Team Celebrates National DELTA Award Recognition
Following the prestigious announcement of securing the National DELTA Award 2025–2028, the Pharmacy Technician Studies programme team at TU Dublin has enjoyed a series of well-earned celebrations and acknowledgements, reflecting the programme’s sustained excellence in teaching and learning.
The team’s achievement was featured in the May edition of the Higher Education Authority (HEA) – National Forum for Teaching & Learning newsletter, highlighting their commitment to innovation, collaboration, and a shared sense of purpose. This national recognition underscores the programme’s ongoing evolution to support professional development and student success.
The team also received warm congratulations from TU Dublin, including a personal letter from President Dr Deirdre Lillis on 30 April 2025, celebrating this third consecutive DELTA Award (2018–2021, 2021–2024, 2025–2028). Their success was further acknowledged at the TU Dublin Learning, Teaching and Assessment Showcase on 7 May 2025, where Prof Brian Bowe, Head of Academic Affairs, and Dr Ciarán O’Leary, Assistant Head of Academic Affairs – TLA, recognised the team’s outstanding contribution.
Programme Chair Dr Tao Zhang expressed his appreciation:
“This achievement is the result of collective dedication from academic colleagues, students, alumni, and industry partners who continue to enhance the culture of innovation and excellence within our programme.”
Special recognition was extended to Dr Julie Dunne, programme founder, and Dr Gemma Kinsella, former programme chair, whose visionary leadership laid the foundation for the programme’s continuing success through three DELTA cycles.
The team looks forward to continuing their journey of excellence, supported by a vibrant community and a university that champions sustained high-quality education and professional development.
