TU875 Class of 2026 Marks End of Four-Year Journey at Farewell Event

The School of Food Science and Environmental Health celebrated the achievements of the BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare Class of 2026 (TU875) at a special farewell event held on 14 May 2026.

The event brought together students, programme staff, School management, placement mentors, final-year research project supervisors, and technical staff to mark the completion of the students’ four-year academic journey. It provided an opportunity to reflect on the experiences, achievements, personal growth, research projects, placements, and strong sense of community developed throughout the programme.

Organised by Final Year Tutor, Dr Tao Zhang, the event recognised the commitment, resilience, and accomplishments of the graduating class as they prepare to embark on the next stage of their professional careers.

A particular highlight of the event was a memorable photo and video montage prepared by the student farewell committee, which reflected on the students’ four-year journey and captured many of the important moments and experiences shared throughout the programme.

The celebration also featured the presentation of the peer-voted Farewell Student Awards, recognising the individual strengths, talents, and contributions of students within the class community. Award categories included leadership, teamwork, resilience, innovation, and positivity.

Another memorable aspect of the event was the presentation of the Student Choice Staff Awards, organised by the graduating class to acknowledge the dedication, support, and positive impact of staff members throughout their studies. The awards reflected the strong relationships developed between students and staff during their time on the programme.

Special recognition was also given to the class representatives, Alwin Baiju, Katie Chambers, Aoife Gerrard, Amy McCann, and Mohammad Serajpour, for their leadership and contributions over the past four years. In addition, Callum Lynch and Amy McCann delivered heartfelt reflections on behalf of the class, bringing great warmth and emotion to the celebration.

The School also acknowledged the recipients of the Final Year Project Good Laboratory Practice and Sustainability Awards, recognising excellence in research practice and sustainability awareness.

The Programme Team expressed sincere appreciation to Asia Market Ltd. for sponsoring the event and supporting the student celebration.

The School would also like to thank Dr Tao Zhang and the student farewell event committee (Amy McCann, Mohammad Serajpour, Riannon O’Neill Carey, and Alwin Baiju) for organising such a memorable occasion to mark the culmination of the students’ degree journey.

The School warmly congratulates the Pharmaceutical Healthcare Class of 2026 and wishes all graduates every success in their future careers and professional endeavours.
