Congratulations to Dr. Faolan Radford Mc Govern
Congratulations to Faolan Radford Mc Govern for successfully passing his PhD viva voce on 28th April 2025. Faolan's PhD work on "Highly Sensitive Diffractive Optical Structures for Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds" was supervised by Prof. Izabela Naydenova, Dr Catherine Grogan and Dr George Amarandei and examined by Prof. Inmaculada Pascual (University of Alicante) and Dr James Walshe (TU Dublin).
Faolan's research was carried out at the Centre for Industrial and Engineering Optics. The results were published in seven research papers (four of them in peer reviewed journals) and presented at five international and three national conferences.
