Special Olympics Ireland Games 2026
On the 19th June 2026, lecturers, students and school alumni from the School of Physics, Clinical and Optometric Sciences volunteered to lend a helping hand at the 'opening eyes vision screening programme' at the Healthy Athletes Village at this year's Special Olympics that took place in the National Indoor Arena.
What a fantastic opportunity for students to practice their skills while engaging in an amazing initiative to deliver much needed eyecare to the amazing contestants. The atmosphere was electric. Massive well done to everyone involved.
