Core Portal is the online system used to record hours, apply for leave, apply for training courses, view your payslip and apply for expenses.  It is also used by line managers to maintain hours and leave for their team.

Core Back Office is used by HR and by line managers to maintain hours for their team.

You will receive a welcome email from the Onboarding team in the first instance advising you of your Staff number. On your day of commencement in TU Dublin you will receive an email to your personal email address from getonline@tudublin.ie. This email will contain your logon details for IT Resources and instructions on logging in. If you encounter logon issues please contact the IT Service Desk www.tudublin.ie/servicedesk

The IT Service Desk cannot activate your account prior to your start date in TU Dublin.

Access to University buildings and IT systems is driven by the personnel record in the Core HR system.  You must have a current appointment to have access to IT resources. If your IT access has been blocked and you are still employed by the University, contact talentsupport@tudublin.ie or hourlypaid@tudublin.ie to confirm your HR record is correct.

For changes to Core Time access please complete the CoreHR Access form in the first instance.

If you have already done this and there are still issues with your Core Time access, email leaveandbenefits@TUDublin.ie and they will check that you have the correct work group(s) assigned to you.

Login to Core Portal and click on the employee dashboard if necessary. On the menu on the left hand side, click “My Time” (Clock icon). Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and you will see the Balances Widget which will show your flexi and annual leave balances.  You can click into each balance to view the details.

If you have recently been appointed to a new role and your query relates to your annual leave entitlements email talentsupport@tudublin.ie and they will assist.

If you have not been appointed to a new role recently or your query relates to the recording of leave, email leaveandbenefits@TUDublin.ie and they will assist.

Login in Core Portal and navigate to the employee dashboard if necessary.  On the left hand side scroll down to the “Pay” menu which is near the bottom of the list.

Employees who are members of the single public sector pension scheme and employees in city campus who are members of the Education Sector Superannuation scheme can view pension benefit statements online through Core Portal. 

Navigate to the employee dashboard and click on “My Pension Statement” on the menu on the left hand side.

Employees in Tallaght & Blanchardstown who are members of the Education Sector Superannuation scheme cannot currently view benefit statements online. A project to implement this is underway.
