At one-to-one appointments, the AWLC supports all TU Dublin undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines (Arts & Humanities, Business, and STEM) and both local and international. One-to-one appointments are bookable in advance of your desired date. For detailed information (start date, location, format of support) please check the schedule in the table below.

One-to-one appointments allow you to talk and explore specific writing issues such as how to:

• interpret the writing assignment’s guidelines
• plan and structure your writing assignment
• research your topic
• reference and incorporate sources in your writing
• write critically and analytically
• identify grammar issues in your writing
• edit and proofread your text

At the Academic Writing & Learning Centre, we understand that completing an academic writing assignment is a process that requires time and commitment. Our team of tutors aim to support and guide you through this process, from start to completion. Our approach to supporting students is collaborative and non-prescriptive and it will help you develop your competence as a writer in an academic setting.

One-to-One Appointment Schedule

This schedule is valid from October 2023 and until further notice. One-to-one appointments are 50 minutes long and take place in person or online. You are required to pre-book your one-to-one appointment in advance.
