Three students working on college work

How does it work?

There is no need to make an appointment, just drop in! One of our tutors will sit down with you and help you through any mathematical problems you need assistance with.

Where is it?

We have an in-person drop-in centre on each of our campuses and also an online drop-in class. Timetables and locations can be found here.

When is it open?

We open early in the semester and run through to week 13 of each semester. View details of our opening hours and locations of the drop-in centres.

What should I bring with me?

Please bring any materials relevant to your studies, such as:

  • Lecture notes
  • Tutorial sheets
  • Textbooks
  • Assignments
  • Past exam papers

These resources help our tutors understand the material you are working on and provide more effective support.

Can the MLC help with basic maths skills as well as course-specific maths?

Absolutely. The Mathematics Learning Centre supports students at all levels, from developing core mathematical skills and confidence to tackling more advanced, course-specific topics.

How often can students access the service?

You are welcome to use the service as often as you wish throughout the semester. We encourage students to seek support early, as regular attendance can help build confidence and prevent small difficulties from becoming larger challenges.
