Due to the volume of applications received, SAF Class Materials applications will close on 28th November to allow the assessment of applications received up to this date.  Students who have not submitted an application for SAF up to that point will have the opportunity to apply in January 2026, when we re-open applications for students who have not yet applied for SAF.


This scheme assists full-time students, registered on courses with high-class material costs- Fine Art, Interior Design, Visual Communications, Architecture, Graphic Design, Architectural Technology, Photography, Optometry Year 2, Culinary Arts Year 1 & Visual Merchandising.

Students are required to log in to the SSB portal to apply for financial aid (SAF) https://ssb.tudublin.ie/StudentSelfServiceThis is the same platform used to register for your program, add modules, check exam results, etc.

The assistance awarded is up to €500 per student, subject to eligibility criteria and funding. Applicants are not required to submit receipts when applying for this fund.

Important note: If you have received a SUSI Grant this year, you are required to submit your full 3 page SUSI Grant Award Letter with your application.
