Balancing your studies and parenting responsibilities? TU Dublin offers support to help you manage both. 

On-Campus Childcare at Tallaght Campus

Our Tallaght campus is home to a purpose-built, professional childcare facility operated by Oakview Early Years Tallaght.

Oakview provides a warm and caring environment for your child while you attend lectures, labs, or placements. They cater for: 

  • Babies 
  • Wobblers 
  • Toddlers 
  • Preschoolers (including ECCE sessions)

Although located at our Tallaght campus, students from all TU Dublin campuses (City, Blanchardstown, or Tallaght) are welcome to apply, if the location works for your schedule.

Childcare Assistance Fund (CAF)

The Childcare Assistance Fund helps eligible registered TU Dublin students with the cost of childcare at Oakview Crèche.

Before applying, you must first contact Oakview to confirm a space for your child.

What is the fund for?

  • Support with childcare costs for full-time and part-time undergraduate or postgraduate students
  • Available for children aged 3 months to 6 years
  • Postgraduate students can apply up to Year 4
  • Ongoing support (no need to reapply each year) as long as you remain a registered TU Dublin student
  • Students using other registered childcare providers can apply for the Student Assistance Fund

Eligibility considers income and other supports such as:

  • SUSI grants
  • Social welfare payments
  • Government childcare schemes
