Mohsen Omidi is a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Dublin, working on the ARISE project. He holds a PhD in Robotics and Human–Robot Collaboration, with a research focus on extended reality (XR), human factors, and ergonomics in industrial and assistive contexts.
His work explores how augmented and mixed reality interfaces can support human operators by improving safety, usability, trust, and task efficiency when collaborating with robotic systems. He has extensive experience designing and evaluating XR-based interaction frameworks, integrating physiological sensing, and applying data-driven methods to assess user performance and wellbeing during Human-Robot Collaboration.
Within ARISE, his research focuses on developing inclusive and human-centred XR solutions that enhance operator support, reduce cognitive and physical load, and improve overall interaction quality. He is particularly interested in translating academic research into practical tools for real-world industrial and healthcare applications.
