Post Doctoral Researchers

Dr. Onur Ertugrul is a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Dublin working under the ARISE project, focusing on 3D printing of microfluidic chips, drug-eluting medical devices, and personalised medicine systems.

He is a materials scientist with expertise in metal and polymer additive manufacturing, powder technology, surface treatments and coatings, and composite material design. His research bridges applied materials engineering with biomedical and pharmaceutical applications, with a particular interest in DLP 3D printing for advanced healthcare solutions.

Dr. Ertugrul has previously held academic and research positions at University College Dublin (I-Form), Leibniz IFW Institute Dresden, Izmir Katip Celebi University, and Dokuz Eylul University and has led a EU Horizon and several Tubitak-funded projects in collaboration with industry partners. His recent work also explores machine-learning-assisted process development and control for precision manufacturing.
