Research and Programmes Director and Senior Researcher, Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship

Dr Pernille Berg is Research and Programmes Director and Senior Researcher at the Danish Foundation for Entrepreneurship. She has extensive experience in entrepreneurship education, research, and programme development, working nationally and internationally to strengthen entrepreneurial mindsets, skills, and ecosystems across all levels of education.

Holding a PhD in sociology and educational sciences, Dr Berg has led and contributed to the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational institutions, entrepreneurship programmes, and research and development initiatives that support learners, student start-ups, educators, and educational leaders. Her work focuses on embedding innovation and entrepreneurship within education systems in ways that are evidence-based, sustainable, and impactful.

Previously, she served as Science Director at BLOXHUB, the Nordic hub for sustainable urbanisation, where she led research networks and interdisciplinary collaborations at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and urban development. Dr Berg is also an experienced moderator, facilitator, and speaker, and has played key roles in international partnerships, applied research communities, and externally funded projects.

Her career reflects a long-standing commitment to building meaningful educational environments that prepare learners for the social, economic, and environmental challenges of the twenty-first century.
