Serial Entrepreneur, Educator, Leadership Development Consultant

Dr Toluwani Akaehomen is a serial entrepreneur, educator, and leadership development consultant with a strong focus on immigrant and marginalised entrepreneurship in Ireland. Originally from Nigeria, she has been actively engaged in entrepreneurship education, enterprise development, and community leadership across Ireland for over a decade.

Dr Akaehomen is the Founder of HerGenuityAfrika, Ireland’s first entrepreneurship and enterprise development platform dedicated to women of Black and immigrant backgrounds, and Founder and Director of Programmes at the Roegate Institute for Leadership, Management and Research. Through these initiatives, she supports inclusive enterprise development, leadership capability, and socio-economic integration.

She has lectured for two years on TU Dublin’s refugee entrepreneurship programme and continues to work closely with community groups, social enterprises, and policymakers to advance inclusive approaches to entrepreneurship education and training. Her academic and applied research focuses on entrepreneurship education, migrant entrepreneurship, and leadership development, with publications addressing the Irish context.

Dr Akaehomen is also a leadership coach, keynote speaker, and facilitator, and serves on community and advisory boards, including local development structures. Her work bridges academic insight, lived experience, and practice-based enterprise support, with a strong emphasis on equity, capability-building, and sustainable impact.
