Prof Johan Wiklund

Al Berg Chair and Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University
Johan Wiklund is the Al Berg Chair and Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, USA, and an overseas visiting professor. He is widely recognised as a leading authority in entrepreneurship research, with extensive publications in leading entrepreneurship and management journals.
Professor Wiklund’s research focuses on entrepreneurship and firm dynamics, with particular emphasis on neurodiversity and mental well-being in entrepreneurship, as well as the entry, performance, and exit of entrepreneurial firms. His work has contributed significantly to advancing the understanding of both the economic and human dimensions of entrepreneurship.
He is Editor-in-Chief of Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, one of the field’s leading journals. A highly regarded doctoral mentor, he has supervised and supported numerous PhD researchers and is a recipient of the Academy of Management Entrepreneurship Division Mentor Award. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship from Jönköping International Business School.
