Lucy McKeown is an experienced Lecturer in the School of Global Business, teaching across multiple programmes in Business, International Business, Sports Management and Coaching, Information Technology, and Digital Marketing. Lucy has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations to successful completion.

Lucy’s teaching and research interests center on enterprise development, family business entrepreneurship, female entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship education, and social enterprise. She is passionate about integrating experiential learning opportunities into her teaching, connecting students with founders, business owners, and industry practitioners to help develop entrepreneurial mindsets and practical business capabilities. Through her work on the Student Transformative Learning Record (STLR) project, Lucy advocates for formal recognition of students' skills and competencies gained both inside and outside the classroom.

Lucy is a founding member of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Behaviour Inclusion and Innovation. She is also a member of the Authentic Assessment Community of Practice at TU Dublin and has served as a Trustee for a non-profit organisation in the charity sector. In conjunction with colleagues, Lucy has successfully secured GrowthHub funding for multiple entrepreneurship-focused projects. Among her collaborations was a transnational entrepreneurship initiative that challenged Irish and Canadian students to work collaboratively on ideating and pitching new business ideas.
