Nanolab members participant ARISE research show case 2025
On 10th June 2025, the Nanolab Research Centre took part in the ARISE Research Showcase at the East Quad, Grangegorman City Campus, Technological University Dublin.
This dynamic event gathered researchers, industry partners, and academic collaborators from multi-disciplinary backgrounds to discuss and highlight the ongoing innovative work being carried out under the TU Dublin ARISE programme.
Several esteemed team members represented Nanolab in this event. These include Dr. Furong Tian, Dr. Baljit Singh, Dr. Shiv Shankar, Dr. Azza Silotry Naik, Dr. Esen Efeoglu Maher, Dr. Bilal Javed, Dr. Abhrajyoti Tarafdar, Perveen Akhtar, Gayathree Thenuwara, and Malik Hamaza Sajjad.

The showcase featured three engaging talks from PIs and ARISE PhD students in the Biopharma, Life Science, and Medical Technologies sectors, and a poster presentation in the Food, Agritech & Bioeconomy sector from the Nanolab team:
- Furong Tian delivered a talk on "Nanotechnology-Driven Diagnostics and Therapy in Nanolab Research Centre.”
- Bilal Javed delivered a keynote on "Advanced Lateral Flow Biosensors for Analyte Detection and Toxicological Evaluation of Nanomaterials in 3D Cancer Models."
- Malik Hamza Sajjad presented his project on "Development of Human Cell and Organ Models for Preclinical Toxicological Evaluation."
- Perveen Akhtar presented a poster on Industry perspective on the “Quantification of Marine Biotoxins in Seafood based on Multiplex Immunochromatography” and the research's potential impact.

The event provided an opportunity for the ARISE initiative's collaborative strength and multidisciplinary innovation and highlighted Nanolab’s contribution to impactful research in diagnostics, biosensors, toxicological studies, and nanomaterials.
