Course Description
Effective Research Data Management (RDM) has increasingly become a feature of funding applications and publishing agreements. Aside from that, it’s a practice that can save a researcher a lot of stress: ensuring that documents are securely backed up and that all the necessary tools for the job are kept within easy reach.
No matter what your discipline: you have research data. In this session, we’ll talk tips for staying organised, keeping on top of security, and making sure data is looked after beyond the project. Questions? Concerns? Bring them along.
Topics covered:
- Creating a Data Management Plan (DMP)
- Good practice for data security
- File-naming and organisation
- Long-term sharing and stewardship
- Guides, resources and supports
