There are a variety of different types of funding available to suit all types and sizes of projects and companies as detailed below.  

 

Enterprise Ireland Innovation Partnerships are ideal for larger, long-term projects which aid the development or improvement of products, services, or processes. 

Grants of up to 80% towards eligible costs are available from Enterprise Ireland

Enterprise Ireland Innovation Vouchers are open to all small and medium-sized limited companies currently registered in Ireland.  

They provide funding to the value of €5000, to help with the research and innovation of a business opportunity or problem. Innovation vouchers are redeemable from all members of the technology gateways. 

 

The Agile Innovation Fund supports the development of new or substantially improved products, services or processes, where the total project cost is less than €300,000. It features a streamlined online application form with fast track approval. 

The fund is aimed at companies who are 

  • New to R&D 
  • Operating in short, product life cycles 
  • Undertaking small/short projects 

We are available to help prepare and deliver such projects. 

European funding can be sought through Horizon Europe (2021-2027). This is the 9th European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. It is the biggest and most ambitious programme of its kind ever with a budget of over €95 billion.  

Enterprise Ireland provides financial supports for Horizon Europe participants based in Ireland. 

The DTIF is a €500 million fund established under Project Ireland 2040. It is managed by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment and administered by Enterprise Ireland. 

DTIF is about funding collaborations that demonstrate technology-based disruptive innovation.

Collaborations that can:  

  • Alter markets
  • Alter the way business operates
  • Involve new products or the emergence of new business models.  

We are available to help prepare and deliver such projects and are involved in 3 live projects at present. 

DAFM operates ‘public good’ competitive research funding programmes covering agriculture, food and forestry.

SEAI coordinates and funds a range of research, development & demonstration (RD&D) activities relating to the production, supply & use of energy.  

Companies can pay a Technology Gateway directly from their Research and Development budget.
