Research Title: Multifunctional nanostructured hybrid sol-gel coatings for surface protection

• Started in CREST in 2015 as an undergraduate student
• In 2016 completed final year thesis investigating "The adhesion properties of silanes on hard to bond plastics"
• Worked as a Chemical Engineer for 2 ½ years
• Commenced a postgraduate in CREST in August 2019
• Collaborating with a surface coating manufacturer in exploring Hybrid Sol-gel coating properties and evaluating the exhibited results for morphology on the surface protection of the coating
