Welcome Back Event (September)
The Learning, Teaching and Assessment (LTA) Welcome Back Event is a half-day event that takes place annually in the first week of September in Grangegorman, in preparation for the new academic year.
The event is used to launch the new academic year, highlight the opportunities available to staff to engage in academic development throughout the year, and enable staff to discuss their learning, teaching and assessment practice with the LTA Team and with each other.
2026 Welcome Back Event
The 2026 Welcome Back Event will take place on Friday, 4 September 2026. The event page with details of speakers, format and registration will be provided in May 2026.
2025 Welcome Back Event
The 2025 LTA Welcome Back Event took place in the Central Quad (CQ-008), Grangegorman on Thursday, 4 September 2025, from 10am to 1pm. The event was attended by over 100 staff.
The event included:
- The launch of the recently published TU Dublin Guidelines on the Responsible use of Generative AI in Teaching and Learning.
- A workshop to support lecturers in making informed decisions about integrating Gen AI into their practice, and having open, confident conversations with their students about the use of GenAI.
- A showcase of TU Dublin lecturers’ recent successes in the Delta awards and the Jennifer Burke award, with presentations from award winners and shortlisted/highly commended.
- The launch of the 2025-26 LTA Affiliates panel.
