Building Digital Capabilities

In July 2023, Academic Council approved the adoption of three Graduate Attributes (GAs) for TU Dublin. The first of these GAs is:

Digitally capable, life-long learners: empowered to adapt and thrive in an ever-changing digitally connected world

At TU Dublin, digitally capable lifelong learners are defined as students who have developed the skills, literacies, competencies and attitudes necessary to live, learn and work in an increasingly digital society and who will be able to continue to engage in the ongoing personal and professional enhancement of their digital capabilities after they graduate.

The development of digital capabilities is considered to be key to the future academic success and employability of our graduates. Correspondingly TU Dublin has made the commitment to providing our students with the opportunities that they will need to develop these capabilities. Implicit in this the need to also support TU Dublin staff develop their own digital capabilities.

Expand the sections below to find out more about the activities that are running currently to help staff and students further develop their digital capabilities to enable them to live, work and learn effectively in our increasingly digital environment.
