Be a TrailblazHER is a six-week programme for women students at TU Dublin, designed to support personal and professional development during university and the transition into work. Participants take part in structured sessions covering skills such as leadership, communication, self-advocacy, and resilience, alongside mentoring, peer support, and access to industry speakers. The programme includes personalised action planning, career pathway guidance, and a certificate and digital badge on completion.

MentorHER connects women studying at TU Dublin with professional mentors for one-to-one support across the academic year. Participants are matched with a mentor based on their profile and preferences, meeting at least four times over the course of the year for guidance, career conversation, and practical support. The programme also includes peer mentoring, network development, and a certificate and digital badge on completion.

SPARK is a free six-week programme for undergraduate women at TU Dublin, designed to build entrepreneurial thinking, confidence, and professional direction. Delivered in person in small groups of 15, it combines workshops, guest speaker sessions, and site visits with entrepreneurs, industry professionals, and women in leadership. SPARK is part of the national CreateHER Programme, developed by the University of Galway and funded by the Higher Education Authority.

- Target audience: Undergraduate women studying at TU Dublin, across all disciplines and year groups.
- Eligibility requirements: Open to all undergraduate women at TU Dublin. No prior entrepreneurial experience or business idea required. Participants must be available to attend all six sessions in person at the Grangegorman campus.

TrailblazHER™ offers a series of scholarships and awards designed to support women at TU Dublin in accessing opportunities, developing their skills, and progressing in their studies and careers. Scholarships are developed in partnership with industry and academic partners, and are designed to remove financial barriers and open doors at key stages of education and professional development. ESB TrailblazHER Scholarship
In partnership with Patron Partner ESB, the ESB TrailblazHER Scholarship supports women studying engineering at TU Dublin with financial assistance of €3,000 per year for three years, paid directly to the student. Recipients also have access to the ESB Summer Graduate Programme. The scholarship is open to first-year students on eligible Level 8 engineering programmes who have successfully completed Semester 1.
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to first-year women on the following Level 8 programmes at TU Dublin
- Building Engineering (TU825)
- Electrical & Electronic / Computer & Communications Engineering (TU821)
- Electrical Services & Energy Management (TU802 / TU820)
- Electronic Engineering (TU803)
- Electronic Engineering and Engineering Software — General Entry (TU829)
- Engineering — General Entry (TU804, TU805)
- Manufacturing & Design Engineering (TU823)
- Mechanical Engineering (TU809, TU822, TU828)
- Mechatronic Engineering (TU810)
- Sustainable Energy Engineering (TU801)
*Applicants must have successfully passed Semester 1 examinations and be on track to continue into Year 2. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be considered.

TrailblazHER™ Horizon Awards
The Horizon Awards support women at third level to attend conferences, summer schools, and workshops that develop their skills, broaden their horizons, and strengthen their leadership potential. The scheme has previously supported students to attend internationally recognised programmes, including the International Summer Academy in Engineering for Women in Austria - a competitive two-and-a-half week programme bringing together talented women from more than 20 countries.
