UNVEILING OF PAINTING - IWD - 8 MARCH 2022

St. Laurence’s Church Grangegorman Campus

Dr Frank Harrington, Ass. Head of School of Surveying and Construction Mgmt. unveiled the painting, titled:

"Theodolite, Rediscovered after the Event known as The Great Pummeling”,
by artist Kevin Cosgrove.

The painting was commissioned by the School of Surveying and Construction Mgmt. and funded by the EDI Directorate, under their 2021 funding call for EDI related projects.

The objective of the school’s proposal was to create a dedicated space within the student learning environment that demonstrates the school’s commitment to gender equity in the sector.  Also marking the establishment of the School’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion group.

The project was managed by three members of the newly formed group. This comprises the chair of the group Nevan Mulvihill, Roisin Murphy (a senior lecturer within the school) and Frank Harrington (a member of the School Executive).
