A Wheelie Great Start
Congratulations to School of Management, People and Organisations student, Alex Montgomery Brennan, who was the overall winner of the Orientation competition supported by TU Dublin Sustainability. The competition formed part of TU Dublin’s Sustainability Orientation programme, which engaged more than 6,000 incoming students in 2026 and introduced students to the many ways they can get involved in sustainability on campus.
Alex's new bike reflects TU Dublin's commitment to Smarter Travel to campus, encouraging students and staff to choose active and sustainable modes of transport where possible. Through initiatives that support cycling, walking, wheeling, and public transport, the University aims to help reduce scope 3 carbon emissions while promoting healthier, more active campus lifestyles.
We hope Alex enjoys many sustainable journeys ahead and makes the most of the cycling supports available across TU Dublin's campuses.
