Travelling to TU Dublin campuses by Bike

Entering third-level education can mark the start of an individual’s independent travel decision making. Campuses and surrounding areas that make sustainable transport options convenient will facilitate the formation of lifelong sustainable travel habits. By choosing sustainable, active travel modes, like cycling, students and staff can enjoy the benefits of better air quality, improved health and well-being, and by doing so contribute to safer, healthier and more sustainable communities. It's a great way to keep fit and save money too.

TU Dublin encourages cycling as a sustainable travel option for students and staff and has over 1,600 bike stands across campuses. According to our 2024 Smarter Travel survey, 5% of students and 16% of staff cycle to campus. Use the Transport for Ireland Cycle Planner app to identify the shortest, safest route to campus.
