Green Campus Open Call: Fund your Green Campus idea
Following the success of the Green Campus Open Call 2025-2026, TU Dublin Societal Engagement, Decarbonisation, and Sustainability Education are pleased to launch a new round of funding. A funding pool of up to €20,000 is available to support projects that contribute to TU Dublin’s Green Campus programme, the implementation of the TU Dublin Climate Action Roadmap, and the University’s broader sustainability objectives.
TU Dublin Green Campus encourages a partnership approach to environmental education and management, and the Green Campus Open Call 2026 can help bring ideas to life by making micro-grants available to selected projects and activities. The Open Call encourages applications from across all five TU Dublin locations for the following:
- Activities and events to mobilise young people and the Green Campus Network to accelerate local level action.
- Project proposals that engage students and staff in collaborative innovation and can be implemented using a living lab approach.
Read more about the Green Campus Living Lab here and access living lab project planning worksheets. The Green Campus Living Lab Coordinator will mentor the teams implementing funded projects.

Proposed projects should demonstrate meaningful student and staff engagement and align with at least one of the objectives outlined in TU Dublin’s Climate Action Roadmap, as well as one or more of An Taisce’s Green-Campus themes: Air Quality, Biodiversity, Energy, Green ICT, Greening Laboratories, Litter & Waste, Transport & Travel, and Water.
We particularly encourage projects focused on biodiversity measurement, monitoring, and enhancement, as biodiversity has been identified as a priority area for TU Dublin’s Green Campus programme and is expected to be a key theme in the University’s next Green Flag application in 2029.
Food waste and water management have also been identified as important areas for further exploration within TU Dublin’s Green Campus initiative. Therefore, projects addressing these topics are especially welcome.
