HEA Health and Wellbeing Seminar

The HEA Health and Wellbeing Seminar 2025 was hosted by TU Dublin, Healthy Campus on Monday 28 April 2025 with 55 attendees from across the country.

The welcome address was provided by Tim Conlon, HEA followed by a presentation on TU Dublin, Healthy Campus by Dr Teresa Hurley which included hearing from student Yvonne Stack from the Human Nutrition & Dietetic Programme on the Healthy Campus Cookbook Project they completed as a third year assignment, part of the Students Learning With Communities+ project at TU Dublin.

A review of the National Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Framework data and emerging themes, was provided by Dr Ross Woods, HEA which was followed by an interesting ‘Wellbeing and the Curriculum’ facilitated panel discussion, introduced by Caroline Mahon, HEA with panel members:

A StudentSurvey.ie update was provided by Niamh Reddan, HEA while an introduction to Student Sport Ireland was presented by Michael Walker, Student Sport Ireland.

Healthy Campus Self-Evaluation Tool presentations were provided by Ellen Stack, South East Technological University and Alan Tobin, Technological University of the Shannon, while the International Health Promotion Campus Conference 2025 presentation was provided by Professor Catherine Woods, University of Limerick.

The final presentation of the day was on E-SHEILD by Dr Michael Byrne, University College Cork.

The seminar concluded with an optional campus tour of TU Dublin by Pamela Butler, Campus Planning.
