Step into the Donut during Global Donut Days 2025
Between the 14-17 October 2025, the global community of Donut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) will celebrate Global Donut Days, a community-led festival, with online and in-person events taking place around the world, each focused on Doughnut Economics (Raworth, 2017).
TU Dublin will celebrate the festival on Thursday 16 October with ‘Step into the Donut’ workshops across campuses. Learn more about the workshop and stay tuned for venue and times announcements.
The donut conceptualisation represents an ecologically safe and socially just space in which humanity can thrive in the 21st century. As part of the activity participants are invited to ‘Step into the Donut’ where they are introduced to the concept of Donut Economics and reflect on the possibilities for local sustainability action.
If your group are interested in hosting a ‘Step into the Donut’ workshop please contact Lucia and Olivia to discuss the opportunity.

Involvement in a Step into the Donut workshop, not only helps you understand our planetary boundaries but it creates a space to discuss local sustainability actions with like minded people; this supports many of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
