Bernardine has a background in community engagement with a particular specialism in participatory and socially engaged practice. She joins the team from her role in M-CO as Senior Project Manager with a focus on public engagement. Before this, she worked as Engagement Curator with the Irish Architecture Foundation, leading a nationwide community-led placemaking programme. She has also worked with community organisations Meitheal Mara and Narrative 4 and as a Public Art Manager within local government. She also spent time working in international disaster response in the USA, Vanuatu and Nepal.
Bernardine has a Master of Science in Equality Studies from UCD, a Master of Arts in Art in Public from Ulster University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fine Art from Limerick School of Art and Design (TUS).
