Dr. Ewan MacDonald holds a PhD in Political Marketing and a B.Sc. in Marketing, with a research specialism at the intersection of political communication, ideology, and branding. His scholarly work focuses on political brand equity, discourse theory, and the semiotics of public policy, utilising methodologies such as critical realism, corpus linguistics, and post-structural discourse analysis.
He has published in top-tier journals in political marketing and political studies and is particularly interested in how political parties construct and evolve brand associations over time.
