Our students at Davy
The School of Mathematics & Statistics has been working with Davy, Ireland’s leading provider of wealth management and investment banking services, for many years to provide exciting and interesting work placement opportunities for our students.
Dr Carl Sullivan and Dr Laura Cooke of the School of Mathematics & Statistics recently visited Stage 3 students, Bríd, Emma and Caimin from our full time undergraduate programme, TU874 BSc Mathematical & Statistics, onsite during their work placement with Davy.
The work placement is an important part of our programmes and provides valuable workplace experience to our students where they practice the skills they have developed during their programme in the real world. Davy is amongst the employers that are specially selected by the School and align with the demand for our graduates and the graduate skills they possess. The students find these opportunities fulfilling and not only an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and talent but also, combined with the career development skills included in their programme, offer a tangible advantage when seeking a career after university.
