Year-3 Pharmaceutical Healthcare Students (TU875) Showcase Work Placement Experiences
On Thursday, 4 September 2025, we welcomed back Year-3 BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Healthcare (TU875) students for their work placement oral presentations.
Over the past eight months, students undertook placements across a diverse range of industry settings, gaining invaluable hands-on experience that helped transform them into confident emerging professionals. During the presentations, students reflected on their placements, describing their experiences in three words and sharing insights into their professional development.
Placement hosts and supervisors provided overwhelmingly positive feedback about the students’ contributions, including:
- “This student has been a high-impact member of our team since day one. She excelled at every task, assisted new starters, and consistently met tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail. Her proactive approach and eagerness to learn made her the strongest intern we’ve had in years.”
- “This student is a real credit to the university. He has settled in extremely well, communicates effectively across teams, takes initiative, and is always willing to help. His professionalism and enthusiasm have made a significant contribution to ongoing projects.”
The TU875 Work Placement Coordinators, Dr Renee Malone and Dr Tao Zhang, extend their sincere thanks to all placement hosts, managers, and supervisors. Their guidance and support are vital in shaping students’ first professional experiences and preparing them for their final year and future careers. Appreciation is also extended to placement academic mentors, who ensure effective communication and successful placements.
The School congratulates all students on successfully completing their placements and wishes the incoming TU875/4 (2025–2026) cohort every success as they commence their final award year.
