With access to state-of-the-art facilities, it houses over 33 researchers and approximately 75 postgraduate students. The School’s researchers have secured funding (> 4m since 2024) at both the National and International level demonstrating leadership in their expert fields.
The School’s research is aligned mainly to the Sustainability and Health Research Hub and the Physical to Life Sciences Research Hub. Staff within the school are directors of five associated research centres: Human Factors in Safety and Sustainability; Food Innovation and Health; Nanolab; Sustainable Packaging and Bioproducts; and Green Chemistry and Biotechnology Research Centre. Staff also work with the Radiation and Environmental Science Centre. These have strong alignment to sustainability and global goals.
