Physiology Practice Educators Day 2026
Clinical Measurement Physiology was delighted to host a Practice Education event on 21st January 2026 for our hospital colleagues across Clinical Physiology departments and laboratories. The event was formally opened by Dr Siobhan Daly, who welcomed attendees and highlighted the importance of hospital Practice Educators and their role in fostering collaborative learning within practice education.
The day focused on education for 3rd-year and 4th-year students, with an emphasis on the importance of ethics in education. This was masterfully delivered by Dr Steve Meaney. GDPR was presented by Lorna Doran, followed by the expert Liaison Librarian, Julie De Foubert, who highlighted the resources available to students undertaking final year project literature reviews.
The event provided an opportunity for shared learning, discussion, and reflection across disciplines. Dr Aisling O'Brien, Psychologist, encouraged open dialogue around supporting students in clinical environments during her presentation. The day closed on a positive note, with Dr Siobhán Daly and Prof Izabela Naydenova highlighting CMP's achievements over the past few years, and the clinical tutors providing expert guidance to PEs educators during a Q&A session.
