About Us

Catherina  Benson is the Head of Workplace Relations and Deputy Head of HR. In this role, Catherina's main responsibilities include managing employee relations and industrial relations matters within the university. Overseeing human resources management and in particular, the administration of leave and benefits at TU Dublin and handling matters related to dignity and respect in the workplace.

As Head of Workplace Relations, she has overall responsibility for addressing and resolving workplace issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment. Her post involves strategic HR planning, policy development, and overall management of the university's human resources functions.

Catherina holds an Honours Degree in Business Studies, Masters of Business Administration (DCU), MSc in Human Resources Management (Sheffield Hallam University) and Advanced Diploma in Employment Law  (King's Inns). She is a Chartered Member of Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
