Evacuation Chair Training

Duration: 2 Hours

Maximum Number of Attendees: 8 Per Trainer

Participants must hold a valid Manual Handling Certificate.  Participants who have completed this course will be able to safely use an evacuation chair and form as part of the evacuation policy and strategy.

• Ensuring the safety of staff and visitors
• Meet your legal obligations for any person with a disability
• Be kept up-to-date with new regulations.

 

Course Content

• Introduction, description, and limitations of the evacuation chair.
• Safety considerations.
• Chair design.
• Method of use.
• Safety requirements prior to, during and after use.
• Practical use of the evacuation chair.

 

Upon completion of this course, you will recieve a National Safety Centre Certificate of Attendance, which is valid for three years.
