As you know your University email account allows you to access a range of software, including Microsoft Word for writing essays and PowerPoint for presenting your project work.  Many of you also have access to specialist software, including Adobe Design products such as Photoshop and InDesign, as you use them in your studies.

Are you buying a new laptop for this academic year? 

As a registered student, you will be able to purchase computer hardware and software at discounted rates through the HEANet Store. You will find a guide to making a purchase from the store TU Dublin HEAnet Student Laptop Offer Guide here.

When teaching recommences in semester one, some of your lectures will continue to take place in the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), and your lecturers will also share with you notes, reading lists and assignments via the VLE. Students based in Grangegorman, Aungier Street, and Bolton Street will attend their online classes on Brightspace, while students in Blanchardstown and Tallaght will attend their online classes on Moodle.

To access Brightspace and Moodle, you will need a computer with a broadband internet connection. Other minimum requirements are:

Refresh on Microsoft Office 365

As you know TU Dublin uses the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, including Outlook, OneDrive and Teams and many of you also have access to specialist software, including Adobe Design products such as Photoshop and InDesign, as you use them in your studies.
