TrailblazHER™ SPARK Programme

What is the SPARK programme?

The SPARK Programme is a free six week initiative designed to support female identifying students in developing entrepreneurial competencies through interactive discussions and experiences. The programme offers a supportive environment in which participants can explore ideas, build confidence, gain practical tools that are valuable across entrepreneurial and professional pathways.

The SPARK Programme is part of the national CreateHER Programme funded by the Higher Education Authority.

CreateHER is a multiuniversity, female only, 6-week programme originating in University of Galway’s Ideas Lab and now rolling out across six universities in Ireland in 2025/2026. The programme supports female students to explore the possibility of developing transferable, entrepreneurial skills to lead or create a business now, or in their future careers.

What does the programme involve?

The programme consists of six interactive and informal sessions, focused on helping students:

  • Build confidence

  • Develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Strengthen leadership and communication skills

  • Network with peers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders

  • Reflect on their goals and future pathways

Each week we explores themes such as goal setting, leadership, entrepreneurship, and networking delivered through informal discussions and guest sessions with entrepreneurs and industry professionals. There is no coursework or required work outside the sessions, allowing participants to fully focus on the experience and their personal development. Students will also have opportunities to attend networking events and connect with peers across Ireland, including the national CreateHER meet-up in April.

What can you gain from the programme?

  • Direct access to entrepreneurs, industry experts, and speakers.
  • Strategies and practical toolkits to overcome common challenges for women.
  • Peer mentoring, support and professional network building.
  • Certificate upon graduation from the programme.

Who can take part?
The TrailblazHER™ SPARK programme is open to all female identifying undergraduate students at TU Dublin. No prior entrepreneurial experience or business idea is required.
